Precision manufactured 5C unit utilizes a unique gear belt
drive system which delivers unsurpassed torque and the
ability to grind in wet grinding applications without
slippage. Manufactured by true craftsmen, spindle run-
out is less than 25 millionths and parallel to the base
within .0002” within 6”. Base is precision ground to fit the
Precision Grinding System sine base assembly which
allows for quick setup times and versatile use. Collet nut
allows for use of standard spanner wrench to tighten and
loosen collets. Supplied with large preloaded ball
bearings as standard, Class 7 precision spindle bearings
also available. The Precision Grinding System 5C unit is
designed for accuracy and the ability to work in wet
grinding set ups in small job shop runs or high production
on a precision surface grinder or VMC.
Base plate of unit is A2 and the housing is 4140. Unit can
be manufactured in 440 stainless for a slight surcharge.
