The Precision Grinding System is the ultimate in precision grinding fixture technology for
grinding precision cylindrical geometries. This patent pending technology was developed
by INCERCO in the manufacture of precision cylindrically ground technical ceramic
components and is ideal for both low and high volume production runs. Any tool & die shop
or grind shop and almost all tool rooms for large companies will consider it irreplaceable
once they have one. The Precision Grinding System will allow you to perform ultra-precise
cylindrical grinding operations quickly and efficiently.

The heart of the Precision Grinding System is our unique double sine plate assembly. It is
on a 8” sine, and our design allows the operator to tilt it from the front or the back. The
sine plate assembly is machined, hardened, thermally stress-relieved and cryogenically
chilled numerous times for optimum stabilization and then precision ground to exacting
specifications. Everything is flat, square and parallel to within a tenth or better. Our
unique design concept incorporates a precision channel in the sine plate which allows
each of the Precision Grinding System attachments to be attached perfectly square quickly
and conveniently…without an indicator required. The other channel is for the drive motor
assembly to locate in.
As you can see from the pictures above, there are 6 sets of drilled and tapped holes in
each channel. This allows the 5C and Center grinding fixtures to be moved and operated
in numerous Y+ and Y- positions. This feature can come in very handy when you have
steep angles set up and you run out of movement on your grinder trying to reach where
you need to get. Instead of having to move the entire base plate either towards or away
from the column of the machine, you can simply move the fixture.
The base plate is 4140 annealed and the upper plate section is A2. You can also order
the sine plate assembly in 440 Stainless for a slight additional charge.
