YTZP (Y-PSZ)
INCERCO's YTZP (Yttria - Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystalline) ceramic is a
Yttria-Partially Stabilized Zirconia ceramic that is transformation toughened and it absorbs
stresses that would shatter other ceramic materials.  This is due to its martensite-type
transformation mechanism of stress induction.

Among the engineering ceramic materials, INCERCO YTZP has some of the highest
mechanical strengths and toughness at normal temperatures.  It will go through phase
transformation and slowly lose its properties at elevated temperatures (above 300
degrees C).

It is relatively easy to be combined with metals because its coefficient of thermal
expansion is close to that of metal.
